Declaration of Climate Emergency

We acknowledge that the adverse effects of climate change such as glacial melting rate, irregular weather patterns, rise in the temperature, and other phenomena have a direct effect on the tourism industry.   We accept the guidelines of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to cut off carbon emission to 55% by 2030. In order to reach this goal, various tour and travel planners have joined this movement of reducing carbon emissions by providing the least carbon-emitting tours and travel packages.

Likewise, we too agree with the terms and guidelines from the IPCC and will be committed to reducing the carbon footprint by implementing climate-friendly approaches. Like other signatories in Tourism Declares,  Vertex Holiday  will be committed in the following actions

·         Develop a climate emergency plan within a year, which will describe how we can contribute to minimizing our carbon emissions.

·         Share our declaration of the initial Climate Emergency plan and update our future plans.

·         Most of our vacation packages comprises of walking, hiking and trekking therefore our goal will be to provide eco-friendly trips and tours

·         Our vacation packages will be custom tailored maintaining the requirements for means of transportation by minimizing the usage of fossil fuel consuming vehicles and by using low emission vehicles.

·         Take part in the carbon sequestration program directly by donating and involving in “Tree plantation Campaigns” so that we can make up for the emissions that we have contributed to.

·         Encourage and implement the methods to change in the Tourism industry, which can help in the goal of creating carbon-free tourism.
